Today I had a unique experience trying these chocolates, and I must admit it was the first time I'd ever seen them. They obviously caught my eye, and I had to try them. Tony's are Dutch chocolates, and from what I researched, the brand emerged in 2005 as a response to exploitation in the cocoa industry. In fact, there's more interesting information about them.
Today I'll talk about the flavor. My friends and I bought three, each a different flavor, to try:
Hoy tuve una experiencia diferente probando estos chocolates y debo admitir que era la primera vez que los veía, obviamente llamaron mi atención y tenía que probarlos. Los Tony’s son unos chocolates de origen Holandesa, entre lo que investigué dice que esta marca surgió en 2005 como respuesta a la explotación en la industria del cacao. De hecho, hay más información interesante.
Hoy les hablaré sobre el sabor. Mis compañeras y yo compramos 3, todos diversos sabores para probarlos:
Hazelnut
I liked it because it has pieces of the nut, which makes it stand out from your average chocolate. The hazelnut flavor is really pronounced. It's sweet, but a delicious sweetness; it's not cloying. You can really taste the texture and the creaminess.
Me gustó porque tiene trozos del fruto seco y eso hace que no sea un chocolate más del monton. El sabor a avellanas está realmente marcado. Es dulce, pero rico dulce, no empalaga tanto. Sientes la textura y la cremosidad.
Caramel Cookie
This was my favorite. It has that perfect contrast between sweet and a touch of salt from the caramel, and the cookie pieces make it even more interesting. I would buy this one again without hesitation.
Fue mi favorito. Tiene como ese contraste entre dulce y un toque salado del caramelo, y los pedacitos de galleta lo hacen más interesante. Este lo compraría nuevamente sin pensarlo mucho.
Honey Almond Nougat
The sweetest of the three. It has quite a few little bits inside, like candies, I don't know, you could feel the crunch and I think that was the "nougat" part. I'd say it's quite a chocolate. I liked it a lot, though.
El más dulce de los tres. Tiene bastante “cositas” dentro, son como caramelos, no sé, era algo que podías sentir lo crocante y creo eso era la parte de “nougat” diría que es un chocolate bastante. Igualmente me gustó mucho.
