Trying new recipes

in GEMS8 days ago

Every chance I get, I try new recipes. This afternoon, I made a kind of "bread," or rather a side dish for my breakfasts, to try to replace the flours I usually use every day, and also to add variety.

I only used a couple of yucas. I peeled them and boiled them until they softened. I then blended them in a food processor with a pinch of salt until they formed a doughy consistency.

Once the dough was ready, I used a sandwich maker to shape and cook them. Once they were ready, I put them away for storage. They were delicious, and I recommend them. I like them toasted bread style; I like the crunch.

That looks delicious, a creative way to use yuca

Thanks and also yummy

Very nice! looks crispy from outside 😋

It is!!! that's how I like it !

Using the sandwich maker for the yuca dough is a clever touch. That crunchy toast vibe sounds perfect for breakfast, my sandwich maker finally has a new job. Do you oil the plates or does it release on its own, and how long do they keep in the fridge or freezer?

I refrigerated it for a week. I didn't add any oil, but what I did first was let the sandwich maker warm up enough, then I put the dough in and close it. I let it cook for a reasonable amount of time, and when I opened it, it was already peeling off on its own.

Ohhh, this actually looks so good, and what if instead of yucas, I use sweet potato 🤔🤔. Now I want to try making this ✨🤤. I want to experience the crunch it has. ✨

In fact, that is my next idea, I am currently varying the types of carbs I eat and I am also looking for satiety.
