Hello everyone. I want to share the oatmeal cookies I made today. In the morning we took a walk in the park with the children. They love this park very much. Spending time with animals is good for both them and us adults.
After returning home I wanted to make oatmeal cookies. I made a double portion using twice the ingredients. I doubled the ingredients, but I'm writing the ingredients for a single portion in the recipe. Our ingredients: 1 cup flour, 1.5 cups rolled oats, half a cup sugar, 5 tablespoons butter, a handful of raisins, about 2 tablespoons honey, half a teaspoon vanilla extract, half a teaspoon baking powder, half a teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 cup warm water and a bit of salt.
I mixed flour, cinnamon, vanilla sugar, salt and baking powder. Then I added the sugar and mixed it.
I turned the rolled oats into flour in the blender and mixed it with the dry ingredients.
I pureed the raisins and mixed them with butter and honey. I added the mixture to the dough and mixed well.
Then I placed the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and baked them at 180 degrees Celsius for 12 minutes. While the first batch was baking, I prepared the second batch.
As you can see these cookies are very easy to make. I especially enjoy making them with the children. It's a fun and educational experience for them too. Measuring, mixing and shaping the dough together turns into a pleasant activity. My older daughter is getting ready to make the cookies herself soon.
As the cookies bake a wonderful aroma fills the house and the children eagerly await them to come out of the oven. We spend a pleasant day together and get delicious oatmeal cookies.
