Radio feeds us with shitty news about politics, elections and more fresh corpses, access to YouTube in Russia looks like it is already sitting in a coffin with just a few final nails left to close the lid; Hive festival is taking place in Serbia which I won't be able to attend no matter how much I want to. Meanwhile the life in my city flows without noticing all these events - and here is some summer street photography. As always, I 'll be happy to see you choosing favourits.
Panorama at Neva river, view at the Peter and Paul Cathedral from the Trinity Bridge. On occasion of some holidays (I don't remember exactly what it was), the city was decorated with a bunch of flags - only part of them fit into the frame here :) You can see here the white flag with St.Petersburg's coat of arms, the yellow flag of the Russian Empire (that have been defunkt for over a hundred years), and the flag with the monogram of some emperor, I think it probably might be Alexander I.
And the last one - cotton candies seller in the park.
Definitely no eye contact happened here, lol.
I should only note that I overexposed the this capture and while taking it, already considered it as #monochrome. Cause, uhm, there is nothing intresting here in terms of colour of the plot; in my opinion it is just the textures and B-W contrasts that clicks here.
Famous Dragon sculpture in the yards of VO district. This one gives me a distinct reason to convert my photos to #monochrome, cause... cause it has a taste of eternity - dont you feel that too?
Boat ride. Here #monochrome does not work better than color, cause, heh, the colors are vivid and fancy and make quite a nice contrast.
Balloon seller at the Palace Square (can't give any preference to either #color or #monochrome - each image here is good in its own right). What do you think?

At the Book Fair. (How long has it been since you had the pleasure to look at a child reading Real Paper Book? Here is this rare sight, give such a pleasure to your eyes! And yes, I was amazed myself too...)
