My Unique Lifestyle//cleaning activity attached

in CLEAN PLANET4 days ago

It's been an amazing week and today is one of my best Mondays ever. I won't tell you why, lol. I feel so sad missing the last prompt of the #cleanplanet contest but for this, I won't at all, no matter what!
But before I go on with what I've got to share with everyone concerning the cleanplanet biweekly contest, I would love to let you know that I also attached my Cleaning Activity to this post. As a member of the cleanplanet community, I wouldn't feel comfortable to only write without engaging in some cleaning activities.

Talking about stages in life when it seems like one needs to put more effort in what we do, the period we develop this feeling that we need to put in more effort.
As a student, I have experienced such moments many times, especially when exam's time is approaching. During this period, I often feel like I'm not prepared enough or that I haven't read enough. Sometimes, that feeling leaves me with fear of failure or not meeting my academic targets.

One of such periods I won't forget was the time I wrote my first exams in the higher institution/university. I had never experienced the atmosphere and difficulty level of questions in the university before and the worst part of the story is that the course I am studying, if one fails any exam, the person is automatically dropped and given the opportunity to study another related course or leave the school.

The first exam I took in university in my first year was Computer Science. Though I am a very smart student when it comes to Science and ICT related courses, in this situation, I was feeling like I had not read enough, since our lecturer often advised us to visit many textbooks and do more research on each topic to understand better.

Few days before the exam, I decided to sit and talk to myself. Like my Dad used to tell me, “You are your greatest encouragement”. After this rang in my head, I found the need to boost my confidence before the D day. This is one of the ways I overcame that feeling. Actually, the feeling that one has to do more is due to lack of confidence in one's applied effort to achieve something. So by personally encouraging oneself, the self-confidence which was lacking begins to take over.

But as much self confidence is a key and self encouragement is the driving force, talking to people/role models/experienced individuals/colleagues can go a long way to helping one discover how far one has done and can then determine if enough effort has to be put in place. What do I mean? It's always said that “A father will always be wiser than his kid”. This saying is so because the father has more experience. Most times when carrying out a project and along the way things seem to become more burdensome that then leaves the feeling of “I need to do more or I'm not doing enough”, another key step to take is to talk to others that can help.

I applied this strategy and it helped me a lot. After I had encouraged myself and did all I needed to personally boost my confidence against the exams, I still had to meet a senior colleague to guide me. He told me areas of concentration and even helped me out with some hard copy and soft copy past questions and answers. With those study materials, I made myself believe that I had done enough.
Those are the two ways I manage such situations of “I feel I'm not doing enough”, and they have been working out perfectly for me, especially with my school life.

With that been said, I would go ahead to share my cleaning activity with everyone.
I decided to skip some days of my cleaning activity till the day I would have time to share my entry for the contest and that's luckily today.
Here are the photos of my cleaning activity for the day:

This cleaning exercise was carried out along my street and I made sure the gathered trash was properly disposed of after the whole picking.

Enjoy your day friends. This remains my entry for the cleanplanet biweekly contest round 14. For more information check this post by @nwothini335.
I would love to invite @marynn, @kingsleyy, @leopull, @nwothini335 and @fashtioluwa to join the contest.
