My Little Pumpkin Garden

in Agricultural Mindset3 months ago

Hello everyone,
It is a beautiful day over here and I just want to share with you my little garden.
Here in my compound where I'm living I have a little space outside the fence so I decided to utilize it to plant some vegetable leaves.

I have always wanted to have my own vegetable patch I was fascinated with the idea of it. It is so fulfilling to wake up one morning and proceed outside to develop harvest right from your own garden. Therefore, when I changed house and I saw there was a tiny space outside the compound I had to develop it into another mini garden.

I particularly have fallen in love with having my own garden, and having the privilege of giving my produce a once over before preparing it for the kitchen. There is the assurance that my vegetables are not being treated with any dangerous chemicals or pesticide which is very crucial in our current world. Furthermore, nothing can can beat the taste of a fresh homegrown produce that one can possibly get from the market. It is new and tasty and has all the vitamins and minerals required in the body.

It has turned into an everyday chores though I consider it a privilege to wake up and attend to it. The community staff and luxuries such as gardening and taking care of my plants outside, watering them till they grow is something I enjoy doing. It makes me feel like I am working on a healing process in which I can also have fellowship with nature.

I still hope to expand my garden more as it gets bigger and even more productive day by day. Perhaps it is time to plant some herbs or flowers here or maybe I could attempt planting some fruits trees back again. There are so many things that I am eager to try out in this garden and this journey interests me a lot.

While waiting for that moment to come I will further enjoy the taste of fruits (if any) that will come with all these hard work and embrace the beauty of nature especially just outside my compound. At least my little garden makes me happy and I have a sense of completion. I am pleased for this sense of farming and groundedness and being reminded that food comes from the earth.
