FungiFriday || Mycena fungus grows on rotten coconut trees

in FungiFriday6 months ago

this my entry for #fungifriday organized by @ewkaw

hi everyone, do you know that today is very special for me? yeah today I found something while walking around the coconut plantation, there was a coconut tree that had fallen down a long time ago and is now rotting, while I was there I noticed there was a pile with small objects and of course this is very beautiful, after approaching and did a little research that what I found on the coconut tree was mycena fungus.

Mycena mushrooms are known because of their small shape and are often found growing on rotting wood. This mushroom has a bell-shaped hat and a variety of colors, usually yellow, white and gray, and the one I found today is a dull yellow color, and the presence of mycena fungi in my garden has revealed the fact that a decomposition process is underway to help return nutrients to the soil.

finding mycena mushrooms in the coconut grove today was an exciting and educational experience, it reminded me of the importance of every part of the ecosystem in supporting life, if you have found mushrooms in the garden or on any day today, then don't hesitate to share!! yeah I have captured some photos of mycena mushrooms for all of you, thank you very much for visiting my blog & see you in the next post with photos of different mushrooms.

What a pity that this coconut tree has fallen, but hey, that's nature, although it's great for these little mushrooms to grow on it. Beautiful photographs @deadofwrite, the mushrooms you found are beautiful

yeah, you are right, this mushroom is very beautiful, but I don't know whether this mushroom can be consumed or not
