A real coffee afternoon among wonders. Suri, the most sweet company!

Sweet company.

She doesn't drink coffee, but if she did, she would be one of the best company. She does everything to please without sacrificing her own enjoyment. That's what it means to be a comrade!
However, for now she only eats kibble and drinks water. She participates with all the lovely forms she knows, and she knows a few: she is called Suri, which means red rose in Persian, but also meeting in joy.

In this photo, Suri, the one with the most beautiful smile!

And so it was that afternoon in the garden of my friends Rafael and Cheo. My friend Nadima and I were invited to taste a very good coffee, grown in a field near my city, Cumaná, by a retired professor from the Universidad de Oriente, Professor Avilez.
And it is a very good coffee.
He himself roasts the beans from medium to dark. It is not the first time I try it, and this coffee is always perfect for me.

From left to right: Rafa, Nadima, Cheo and me, at some point in that coffee.

At Rafael and Cheo's house, coffee is always taken surrounded by wonders.
Their garden is home to hundreds of plants, especially cacti and succulents, as they are dedicated to their cultivation. They have an extraordinary variety of species, many originating from places far away from us. And they are able to make the best coffee and have the most sparkling and intelligent conversation one can imagine.

A view of the garden of wonders! Few places to have a coffee can compete with this one!

Making the coffee is Rafa's job. He uses a nine-cup Italian coffee maker and adds his good sixty grams of that well-roasted coffee.
He once explained to me that he washes his coffee pot with water only and periodically rinses it hot. He tells me that the oils that his coffee pot accumulates contribute to the particularity of his coffee. I don't know if he was serious, because he is a joker and it amuses him that I believe almost anything he says.
What is certain is that I love his coffee: strong, slightly acidic and vegetal. Bitter, but with a sweet note in the background.

My friend Rafa, one of the best coffee makers I know.

This was a pleasant afternoon. An afternoon to regain serenity.
We made plans, plans that are made with coffee: with awakened senses and an open mind. With the conversation flowing with Caribbean rhythm, one voice over the other, cadenced, as if we were dancing.

One cup gave way to another in that garden of wonders. We talked and laughed and the world became a livable place again, a place where friends tell ancient stories, Persian tales and showbiz gossip, infused with the magnificent aroma of coffee. An aroma to love life.

Let's close this coffee post with the beautiful Suri, because the spirit of sociability was hers that afternoon.

How wonderful that you spent an afternoon having coffee with friends and coworkers. Coffee is a common meeting point. I love strong coffee.

You would love my friend Rafa's coffee, then.
By the way, he's an oceanographer, so he's connected to the sea that you love so much!

Of course I will love coffee, two perfect combinations, the sea and coffee bring me peace

That's the cutest company ever! I wouldn't be able to leave the table :)

Suri is a flower. We are good friends, and I enjoy coffee in her company.
Thanks for stopping by!

It's great to see you, as always! Have a Coffee-Licious Day:)

Thanks for sharing your experience with us.☕

Excellent day.

Thanks to you for stopping by to read my blog. It was a wonderful afternoon. Coffee is also discovered in the apparent simplicity of the encounters.

Oh, I really like the first picture, I think Suri loves to keep you company, she's beautiful! What a lovely post, full of a trip with friends, coffee and that aroma that, as you say, helps you love life. Greetings to you and Suri! <3

Suri is one of the most delightful people I know! While she doesn't drink coffee, she becomes even more adorable when you have a cookie in your hand! 🤣
Yes, we get along well. When I visit my friends, she always sets aside time to lie next to me for a good while.
