Happy Birthday!!!What a lovely way to mark your special day...visit a place that respects age :) The stone work and original accents remind me of how a loft apartment would look in Brooklyn (one of New York City's boroughs). Artists started moving into the neighborhood and made it fashionable. The area was filled with old warehouses. These open spaces were perfect (great light) for painters.

One thing that surprised me about your coffee shop was the smokers. You won't find anyone smoking in a coffee shop in New York, anywhere. It's not allowed. Even it allowed were, it frowned upon generally.
