Hello coffee lovers! It’s been a while since I last posted about my coffee habits and little coffee moments in my daily life. Life has just been a lot lately. My start to the day with my husband. He has been incredibly busy with our small food business. He’s been waking up early, I mean early, heading out to the shop before any of us even wake up. And by the time he gets home, we’re already fast asleep. It's been tiring for both of us in different ways. The hustle has been real. And in the food business, it is not easy, especially when you're trying to grow it. But we’re pushing through, one day at a time. Today was a little different, though. He finally had a bit of free time in the morning, a rare occasion these days. So, he asked me to come downstairs for breakfast with him at the food court just below our apartment. It’s nothing fancy, but honestly, that made it even better. This is very sweet for me.
Sometimes, the best moments happen in the most ordinary places. We go down to the food court, and we choose a noodles stall, the one that serves comforting noodle soups. I ordered a bowl of pork mihun noodle soup, Chinese-style. It's one of my favorites: light yet flavorful, with tender slices of pork. My husband went for the pork tom yum noodles from the same stall. His bowl looked fiery and bold, full of spice and heat, just the way he likes it. And of course, the star of my morning coffee. We both ordered a cup of Indonesian white coffee. I loved this kind of coffee. Has a strong aroma, which makes me more awake, and the taste is smooth and creamy. Not too sweet, just the way I like it. There’s something about the balance in white coffee that hits the spot. It wakes you up, comforts me, and somehow feels like a warm hug in a cup of coffee; it's like a slow-mo moment.
While waiting for our food, we had our coffee served first, sipping our coffee and enjoying our breakfast, I felt a rare sense of peace. Just the two of us, talking about simple things, laughing over little jokes, sharing glances that said “this is nice.” No rushing, this is the good part of my husband, he will find a way to make up with me and with the kids. I also asked about the business, and he also asked about me and the kids going on for the past few days. he has been busy. This is just a quiet, ordinary morning that reminded me how important these small pauses are, especially when life gets busy. We didn’t stay long. After breakfast, I went back home upstairs, and my husband went on with his day. But that short moment stayed with me. It’s reminded me why I love these kinds of mornings with my loving husband, and this my forever favorite kind of how starting the normal day, it's simply feels very comforting moment, and why I always come back to coffee, not just for the caffeine, but for the comfort and calm it brings. So to all my fellow coffee lovers: here’s a little reminder to slow down when you can, savor your coffee, and treasure the small, ordinary joys in life. Because sometimes, a simple breakfast and a good cup of coffee are all it takes to reset your day. And thank you for reading my story until here. Drop your comment, and I will appreciate it. Until next time ☕❤️
