Hello there, my fellow coffee lovers!
I've got another coffee story to share that I stumbled upon during a recent trip to Tublay, Benguet. It's a cafeteria-style restaurant called Ayuyang Eatery (an Igorot-owned cafeteria), and it's a place you definitely need to check out if you're ever in the area.
LOCATION
Our journey began as we were heading towards Beacon Hill. The eatery is conveniently located right by the highway, making it an easy spot to find. What really caught our eye, though, was the breathtaking view of the mountains behind it. The fog rolling over the landscape was like a scene straight out of a fantasy movie. It was a sight that promised a memorable experience, and we weren't disappointed. Feeling the pangs of hunger, we decided to stop for lunch. I was with my daughter and some friends, and we were all ready for a good meal. The eatery had a cozy, homey feel to it, which made us feel instantly at ease.
THE FOOD
Now, let's talk about the food. The servings at Ayuyang Eatery are massive! I mean, when they say one serving, they really mean four. And the best part? It's super affordable. We ordered pork sinigang and deep-fried pork, both of which were delicious and perfect for the chilly weather. The sinigang had just the right amount of sourness, and the deep-fried pork was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It was a feast that left us all satisfied and ready for the rest of our journey.
UNLIMITED BREWED COFFEE - The Star Of The Show
But the real star of the show, at least for me, was their unlimited brewed coffee. As a coffee lover, I was in heaven. The coffee station is self-service and located in the condiments and water area. I had two cups while waiting for our food, and I was about to get my third when our food arrived. The coffee was rich and aromatic, a perfect companion for the cold weather and the hearty meal.
INTERIOR and the VIEW
The interior of the eatery isn't fancy, but that's not why you came here. You come for the amazing food, the friendly service, and the unbeatable view. The walls are adorned with simple decorations, giving the place a rustic charm. The wooden tables and chairs add to the cozy atmosphere, making it a perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. As we were eating, I couldn't help but admire the view outside. The mountains, the fog, the greenery—it was a sight to behold. It was like dining in the middle of a beautiful painting. And with each sip of my coffee, I felt more and more relaxed. It was a moment of pure bliss.
After our meal, we spent some time just sitting there, enjoying the view and the company. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Despite the eatery being quite busy, they never made us feel rushed. It was a level of service that you don't often see these days. Overall, our lunch at Ayuyang Eatery was an experience I won't soon forget. I got to enjoy three cups of delicious coffee, a hearty meal, and a stunning view of the mountains. It was a perfect break in our journey, a moment of relaxation and enjoyment in the midst of our adventure.
Whether you're a coffee lover like me, a foodie, or just someone looking for a great place to eat, you won't be disappointed. It's a place where good food, great coffee, and beautiful views come together to create an unforgettable dining experience. Trust me, it's worth the visit!
Until our next coffee adventure, my friends. Cheers!
