Hi sublime Sunday folks, how was your Sunday? was it interesting, fun, or uneventful? well mine took an interesting twist which I enjoyed and I am here to share it with you all.
I woke up this morning to the sound of the cock, and I felt good, unlike most mornings when I have to wake up early and drag my crazy ass to get ready for work, today’s morning was different.
I said my prayers, and then laid down for a little while before getting up and beginning to rummage through my closet to decide on what I was going to wear to church today as it is Sunday. I finally decided to go with a red dress.
Getting ready to go out is something I don't really like doing as it’s always a hassle for me, from picking the dress to wear, the shoe to pair it with, the colour of handbag that is suitable blah blah blah, but we all have to do things we don't like doing most of the time, don’t we?
So I prepared myself and went to church, before I left for church I was craving some rice with curried veggies sauce, so I made a mental note to make it when I get back from church.
On my way back, I had to get all the necessary ingredients I needed from a roadside seller, as most of the stores weren't open because today is Sunday. I got some cabbage, carrots and green pepper.
Upon getting home, I began prepping for the meal, I shredded my cabbage, cut my carrots in circles, cut my onions and diced the green pepper.
While prepping the ingredients, I had already put the rice on the stove and it was cooking nicely. When I was done preparing , I let the rice cook until it was well cooked.
Afterwards I started making my curried veggies sauce, by this time, I was already feeling so hot, but I had to continue, as I couldn’t stop half way. By the time I was done, I was proud of myself, because it looked and tasted so good.
After enjoying my meal I called my siblings, we had a long conversation, we laughed, cracked some jokes and motivated each other. We do this every time since we are all far from each other so keeping track of each other’s daily activities was our priority.
I hope you all had an eventful Sunday, because mine was fun, having to make my meal, and it coming out well and delicious was priceless and also speaking to the people I love was heart warming.
