Good morning, y'all amazing people!
I wanted to share a bit about our recent family walk. My husband, our daughter, and I decided to go for a walk to a cafe by the riverside. This place is in Bauang, La Union, not too far from where we live, just under an hour's drive. It was a pleasant day, perfect for a walk. The cafe was nice, with friendly staff and good coffee. We spent a couple of hours there, enjoying our time together. I posted a blog about the cafe a week ago for those who have not seen it yet.
So on our way back, we noticed something unusual. There was this unfinished house leaning to one side. It looked out of place, and honestly, it was a bit of a downer. I asked around to find out what had happened. It turns out that the house was damaged during a typhoon and the area was hit by a flash flood. I can't even begin to imagine what the owner must have gone through. It's one thing to hear about these things on the news, but seeing them firsthand is a different story.
However, it wasn't all doom and gloom. We saw workers and building materials in front of the house. It looks like the owner is trying to rebuild. It must be tough, but it's good to see that they're not giving up.
This walk was an eye-opener for us. We started the day wanting to enjoy some family time and ended up getting a stark reminder of how unpredictable life can be. But it also showed us the resilience of people and how they can bounce back from tough situations.
That's it for now. I just wanted to share this little story from our family outing and thought would be a good entry too to @photofeed's Black & White Photography Round 64!
Have a blessed day to all!
