My Chicken Flavored Omi Obe Recipe.

Hello beautiful people. I’m a new friend of Hive Learners community and I will like to share with you a cooking recipe.
In Yoruba land, we call a soup Omi Obe and this soup can be used to eat different kinds of food like Amala, Semo, Pounded Yam, Rice anf even Spaghetti.
Join me on making my chicked flavoured Omi Obe so you can make this at home.

Needed ingredients:

Chicken
Seasoning
Curry & thyme
Salt
Veg.oil
Palm oil
Pepper

I bought my chicken, washed them and sliced them all into two. Things are now expensive and I cannot to have just six pieces of chicken for three thousand naira.

I cut them all into nine pieces. I washed the chivken thoroughly to make sure that there was no dirt in it. After washing it, I put it in the pot, added my curry, thyme, salt and chicken flavor maggi. I boiled it for some minutes until it became soft.

I took them out of the pot and the next line of actuon is frying my chicken. Different people have different ways of frying their chicken but me, I always want to make sure that it gets brown very well before taking it outside the pot but it won’t get burnt.

Having done that, the next thing is prepare my Omi Obe and eat it with a very yummy dish. I poured some amount of palm oil in the pot. Here, I waited so long for it to become very hot and maybe smoky. That may not be healthy but yeah, it’s the best way to get that great taste.

Later, I poured some pepper in the hot oil which makes it even hotter. I added my seasonings and waited for it to boil and taste good before pouring my chicken in the boiling soup.

Yes, that’s my Omi Obe but it will never look good without the help of a good food to compliment its look. In that case, I had my chicken flavoured Omi Obe with Iyan and Ewedu which is another Yoruba kind of food.

That’s my food today. If I am allowed, I will share more food recipes with you all.
