Stomach infrastructure is what we need in my country.

Hello friends, welcome back to my blog and happy midweek to everyone of us.

Nigeria for me is the only country where the government of the day don't really care about the development of the country. If all things were equal I believe that since the year we got our independence till now, we are sopposed to be counted as a well developed countries. But here we are up till today, still struggling to fix our roads, battling with NEPA or Power holding, trying to eat two square meals a day. I don't think that anyone in Nigeria is still talking about infrastructure anymore. People are dying of hunger. People are going out into the streets begging for food just to survive. The whole country is falling apart.

Maybe if other countries are talking about the infrastructure needed in their country, we in Nigeria should be talking about stomach infrastructure. Yes of course we need this country to fix our stomach because is very sick and needs urgent attention.

The government of the day really have to do something very seriously. How can we stay in a country where everyone sells commodities at the price that suits them. Price of goods and services are not regulated. price of food stuff rises up in the morning and keep increasing everyone two or three hours in a day. No one dears talk. Things are not done like this. People just buy goods and fix any price they want to. This has to stop. The poor masses needs to be given urgent attention. For me this is where my country is right now. I don't really care if there is good hospital or not. I don't even want to know if the roads are good, not even good hospitals and good water for the people is my problem right now. We need to stay alive and healthy before talking about good road, hospitals, water and electricity.

It is crystal clear that we don't have good road, no constant light, no good hospitals, no good schooling environment, and their likes. But I rather talk about food. By this time last year we had food in supplus. There was money too. But I don't really know how we got to this place where we are right now. No money, no food. People who are sick are dying at home because they can not even afford to eat food not to talk about hospital bills. You see people who were doing well before and now they are begging for food before they can eat.

There is nothing like increament of salary. People who were paid #70,000 before now still collect the same amount, nothing have changed. But when they take the same money and go to the market the can hardly buy something tangible with the money. People get stranded every day.

Our young ones have resulted to go into all manner of evil just to survive. We see them today all over social media going into rituals, stealing, kidnapping, scamming and all other evils that they can imagine.

Stomach infrastructure is what NIGERIA needs. We need to eat food so because of that we want a situation where we can afford the food we eat without going to the street to beg for money.

This post was inspired by the hive learners community contest for week 125: Edition 2 - Just one Infrastructure.

The prices of goods in the market have reached an all time high and we all wonder when they'll finally be regulated enough to reduce.
The masses are really going through it during this tough time and we can only hope for a better country and economy.

I visited a store to get snatched water few days ago and I heard the store attendant said one pure water for 50 naira, three for 100 naira. What! Not bottled water for that matter!

Something has to be done. This is getting too much.
