This lyrics explains the first part of you saying, happiness doesn't require much.

And that's true, one doesn't need to have everything to be happy.
Truth is no matter how we try and struggle to make life easier and better, we can never have everything.

We don't need to force it, but no matter what happiness should not be out of the picture.

Wow!, rightly said @jmis101 it required nothing to be happy, just by letting our heart to be free and embracing good energy, if a person set his happiness in the things he wants, he might take time to be happy, because, mostly the things we want take longer to come, but when we develop ourselves kind of happiness, we will finds life so easy and enjoyable.

Besides, rushing to the top can be lonely, so let start at where we are and embrace what's nice, which is being happy all the time no matter what.
