When it comes to meat, it’s something that I have zero issues with. As a matter of fact, I enjoy it a lot, and if I can afford it, I will make sure that I eat it as often as I can. And thankfully, depending on the buoyancy of your bank account, meat can go with just about everything. From rice to soup, to even dessert. If it can be chewed, then you can bet that it can be chewed with meat as well. And even better, you can eat it on its own.
Just a bucket of chicken, with chilled juice and a bottle of water, could serve as a meal. It might not be as nourishing as a full meal, except when you consider the things the chicken was mixed with. However, you can be sure that it will be very filling. If you eat an entire bucket of chicken or a part of the thigh of a cow, you would be filled up and won’t be hungry until the next day.

This is just how much I enjoy it. But now, if I get banned from eating meat, what will that mean for me? The thing is, this concept is not as fictitious as it might sound. There are people who can’t ever eat certain foods anymore because of their health. There are people who can’t eat rice or beans anymore, because it could trigger terrible health consequences. And meat is not left out, there are those who can’t eat meat at all, or there will be hell to pay. Especially red meat
So, how will this be for me? It won’t be an easy feat. Not that I’m addicted to it or anything, but school life taught me that it was possible to eat a meal without the presence of meat in it. And if it turns out that I can’t ever have it anymore, it won’t be funny, but it also won't be the end of the world for me. I’ll be able to make do with other sources of protein. There is fish, eggs, beef, and eggs, and fish, and beef, and eggs, and more eggs… and EVEN MORE EGGS!!!!

Seeing people around me eat and enjoy it would be a real pain in the side. Because I can see it, smell it, and almost taste it. That’s how bad it can get. So then, I’d have to start using avoidance techniques. I’ll try to avoid places where there is meat, just so I don’t get tempted. I don’t want to end up eating it and getting myself in trouble.
Writing this post has made me realize that many people indeed live like this. Whether from chronic illnesses, disorders, or just plain allergies. They have to be very selective of their food, or there will be hell to pay. It’s crazy, but it’s also their reality. Moments like this make me be thankful for what I’ve got, and the kind of body system I have, where I can eat whatever I want, whenever I want, and the only problem that could arise from it is a big tummy.
God help us all.
Merry Christmas to you all!!!
