Hello everyone! Welcome to another Hive Learners Creative Sunday Initiative with George Dee.
It's a beautiful Sunday morning, and I bless God for the gift of life on behalf of every Hive member. As usual, the Hive Learners Community is always oozing with creativity on Sunday, and you can be part of it.
Today's entry is a special food I haven't tasted in my entire life, and it's a great thing I didn't look down on this awesome recipe.
Many times, I usually have very small leftovers of food ingredients, and it bothers me what to do with them because I hate seeing them waste. Yesterday, I realized that I had a small potato and a golf ball-sized cabbage in my kitchen, so I started digging for what to make out of these small ingredients.
I came across a braised cabbage and potato recipe that didn't sound like much to me, but I went on to try it, and it was fantastic. Aside from cooking noodles and making coffee, I think this is the easiest and fastest recipe I have ever tried out.
Despite braised cabbage with potatoes being an easy recipe, its nutritional value is high. Cabbage and potatoes are foods with lots of vitamins, so you can tell how much nutrition you are getting from this recipe.

Procedure.
I started by cleaning and processing the ingredients, which are important to making a healthy meal.
I chopped the cabbage and onion.
I peeled the potato back and cut it into smaller pieces.
I boiled the potatoes for a few minutes and didn't allow them to get too soft.

I turned the boiled potatoes into a small basket and kept it aside.
I moved on to making the braised cabbage.
I poured a little quantity of groundnut oil into the pan and added a spoonful of butter.
Immediately after the butter melted, I added the chopped onions.
I stirred the onions while they were frying for about 20 seconds before turning the cabbage into the pan as well.
I added the chili powder, crayfish and dryfish powder, salt, and seasonings.

I stir-fry the cabbage for another 30 seconds before covering the pan so the cabbage can cook for about two minutes under low heat.

After two minutes, I continued stirring for another minute before pouring a small quantity of water into the pan.
I turned the boiled potatoes into the pan as well.
I stirred again continuously until the cabbage and potatoes had blended well into each other.
I allowed them to cook for another two minutes, and my braised cabbage with potatoes is ready.
I have the gift of imagining what a food will taste like by just seeing the recipe, but my gift failed me because this recipe tasted better than I imagined.
I served the recipe with fish, and the combination makes a lot of sense.
