Hello everyone! Welcome to another episode of Hive Learner's Creative Sunday with George Dee.
As usual, I bring to you another delicious and healthy delicacy that you can enjoy with your family and friends. Today's recipe is easy to prepare, and doesn't cost much compared to the satisfaction that comes with this meal.
This recipe is known as Suya/Veggies Macaroni, and I bet you will always want this after your first try. I haven't eaten this meal for some time now since Suya became very expensive. A thousand naira Suya used to be enough back then, but it's a different case now.
I actually crave for Suya and got just a thousand naira worth of it. Instead of eating it, I decided to make this recipe.
Recipes;
Macaroni
Suya
Carrots
Green beans
Spring onions
Fish
Pepper
Tomato paste
Onion
Seasoning cubes and salt
Suya powder.
Groundnut oil
Procedure;
Please always remember that personal hygiene must be observed because that's what guarantees healthy food.
I started by cleaning and processing all the recipes.
I sliced the carrots and onions and chopped the spring onions into smaller sizes.
I boiled the fish and deboned it.
I blended the pepper and also parboiled the macaroni.
After processing the ingredients, I went on to the proper preparation of my suya/veggies macaroni.
- I heated the pot first and turned the groundnut oil into the dry pot.
-I allowed the groundnut to get hot as well and added the carrot, green beans, onions, fish, and suya. I allowed them to fry for three minutes on low before adding the tomato paste.
I allowed it to fry again before adding the blended pepper, which consists of red pepper and tomatoes.
I added the seasoning cubes, salt, and suya powder, which is very important. I didn't get enough, but the little I got did a fantastic job for me.
Just having Suya in the recipe is not as important as having the powder, because that's what does the magic.
After adding the seasoning, I allowed the sauce to fry very well before adding a small quantity of water to complete the cooking of the macaroni.
I allowed the sauce to boil again and added the parboiled macaroni with the spring onions as well.
I covered the pot and allowed it to cook again for some minutes until it reached low heat.
Finally, the suya/veggie macaroni is ready. I wish you could perceive the aroma that filled my kitchen while preparing this.
The recipe was satisfying, and I really enjoyed it with my family.
