Food is so important for human survival. While some prefer homemade meals, others want something fast, "fastfood," 😂. Having preference for the food that you cook by yourself is awesome. You will be in control of what you eat. There is one aspect that you mentioned that strikes my mind; exploring other food not within one's cooking menu.
