Yeah, there's no right and wrong answer the question and I see reasons with your thought on it.
Academic excellence has happened and can go on without incentive rewards but it isn't very out of place to do it sometimes.

        Help is always welcome, a reward for those who have dedicated themselves. I just think it's risky to reward with cash, it could be dangerous, but in any case I think it's nice to highlight those who are really giving themselves to be the best at something.
