Hello Hive
With all of these strict measures regarding the quality and taste of meals, you won't expect to see me eating out. I was opportuned to see how some restaurants cook their meals, from improperly cooked beef to hygiene and all. I can barely taste anything at any Mama-Put joint. Except for the bigger restaurants, where we have qualified chefs handling our meals and better quality food.
In essence, I love to cook my own meals, and only on a few occasions will you have me eat out, probably at a party or an outing. I usually have my days planned out to be sure that I include some cooking schedules. If my work schedule is showing signs of overactivity, I would convert either some sleeping time or other activities to cooking.
You can find me making soups at night in my home. By morning, I only need to prepare some swallow meals to go with it. In essence, I am that lady who goes out constantly with a food flask and water bottle.
Hardly will you drop by my place without finding some stored homemade meals. Just to avoid the occasion that will cause me to eat out. Countless times I have to go on hunger strikes if I leave the house without a plan for food. Even though there may be food joints all around me, I would have thought about the one thousand and one reasons I won't eat such meals. From the taste, hygiene, and budget to the person and location, the meals are sold. I prefer to stay fast the whole day and go back home to some healthy meals rather than eat something I won't feel satisfied with.
I remember one time I tasted a friend's food and threw up immediately. We both felt embarrassed with her, thinking that her food wasn't good enough for my taste, while the truth about it was that my mind hardly accepts food from people, just the same way we can get out of other people's body smell even when they don't have body odor.
If I ever get to patronize fast food, it's probably because they sell some special food or recipe that I love so much but don't know how to prepare, or because I want to give myself some special treatment to restaurant delicacies. Snacks often come on hunger strike days with really busy schedules, so I don't get to go out with my food warmer.
For all of the reasons mentioned in this text, I find it very difficult to eat out. In addition to these, there is one more thing that makes me rely more on home-made food: I get to prepare my food without fear of having diarrhea after eating. Food poisoning is real, and for some of us who have a very fragile system, we have to watch out for the things we eat.
Home made meals are also economical and with lowest budgets I can still prepare something healthy and palatable.
