Hello hiveans! Welcome to my blog with smile and positivity.
Now a days in India we are obeserving so many fake Products in the market during Diwali Festival. So people have to be careful while buying all the stuff. Mostly it is happing in edible or food products like Cottage cheese (paneer), sweets, khoya( mava) etc.
In Diwali people buy paneer , sweets and many other products to make new dishes on the occasion of the festivals....to eat, to share among relatives and friends.

This time we decided to make sweets at home.
So I Have made Dal ka Halwa. I.e Moongdal lentil Pudding..
Moongdal halwa is sweet Indian dish which we will make in occasion like festival, marriage or any functions.
It is rich dish because the moongdal has to be roasted and fried in ghee in low flame uñtil it loses its moisture.
Generally I have used 2 cup dals and 2 cups sugar equally but if you want to reduce the sugar then you can based on your sugar preference.
Lets see how to prepare this rich and delicious Pudding:
**INGREDIENTS **
Moongdal- 2cups(soaked for 2 to 3 hours)
Clarified butter or ghee- 1.2cups
Sugar- 2cups
Milk khoya-200gm
Cardamom-3 nos
Saffaron -5 strands
Dry fruits- as u wish.
METHOD
Firstly rinse the soaked moongdal then . Drain off the water and transfer it in a blender.

Blend little coarse paste. Dont add more water or else it will take more time to cooķ.

Now heat kadhai or pan

Add ghee(clarified butter)
Fry the dal till it became aromatic and golden in color

Stir continuously and fry until the moisture evaporats. Some lumps will occur , break the kumps and continue frying.
Add more ghee if required.
I transfer the dal into big kadhai afterwards 😆
When the dal is done it resembles like sand texture. Make sure to stir it continuously.

Then off the flame.

Add water in a pan

Heat the water and add sugar.

Boil for 5 to 10 mins till the sugar is dissolved.

See the sugar consitency with hand it should be one thread shown in the pic.

Now add the sugar syrup to the moongdal halwa.

At this stage the halwa become runny and stir it. It will turn little hard.

After continuously stirring the halwa become smooth off the flame .
Let it cool
At last put silver bark on the top if needed.

Enjot the Halwa
