Today I am sharing a recipe of Mysore Masala Dosa.
REGULAR MASALA DOSA is world famous but Mysore masala dosa is one of the popular food in South India. MYSORE MASALA dosa is named after the city Mysore.
As I am living in Bengaluru so In many restaurants I have tasted Mysore masala dosa and every time I got different taste. The only Difference between Masala dosa and Mysore masala dosa is only the red chutney. In mysore masala dosa there will be red chutney inside and then Potato Filling will be spread.
Lets see how to make Mysore masala dosa-
Ingredients-
Dry Red chillies-6
Garlic 6-7 pods
Onions-1 cup
Roasted gram-½cup
Oil-as needed
Potato-2 cups
Curry leaves-5
Salt- according to the taste
Method-
Red chutney
Heat oil in a pan.Then add roasted chana dal.
Add dry red chilies.
Then add garlics, onions and salt.
Grind it in a paste and keep aside.
Now for Potato filling-
Boil potatoes.
Heat oil in a kadhai.
Now add cumin seeds, green chilies. Curry leaves, onions and chana dal. Cook it for 5 mins. Then add turmeric powder,redchili powder and salt.
Then add mashed potatoes. Cook 2 mins
Mix up well and off the gass.
** For Dosa**-
Now Take batter. Mix it. I bought the batter mix from the Market. Its fermented.
Heat a skillet
Pour one ladleful of dosa batter and spread out it in a circular motion.
Smear some butter at the edges and on the top of the dosa
Now spread the red chutney on the top of the dosa
Add potato filling on one side of the dosa.
Roast for 1 min.
And then fold the dosa into half.
Mysore Dosa is Ready.
Now serve it with hot sambhar and Coconut chutney.
