Have you ever thought about this, the internet going down and no access to it from another part of the world for a period of time.
In the last decade, we have experienced some of the major online platform become unaccessible even for as short as an hour or more or even days. It didn't look good at all as it affected not just the various users on the platform but the owners and board of shareholders of these major online platform— they lost large of money in dollars. It was painful because they never saw it coming, no business owner would ever pray for such.
If the internet is lost for some period of time or forever, you'd agree with me that some people will find a way around it rather than sulking about losing a job or a space in the internet. Such occurrence would take us all back to skills, jobs and activities that are not dependent on internet. And, there are whole lot of practical work, jobs and skill to do.
What practical skill would help me survive if the internet is lost?....

The first practical skill I am sure of bringing in good cash is selling and food. I am so passionate about cooking and also found out that more than the need for food to stay alive, we humans love good food, it does something to us and brings a certain type of pleasure and ultimate satisfaction. Cooking of foods is a desire I am yet to present to a large audience.
Opening up a restaurant (of course, starting small), being known for jollof rice, white rice and beans, and two major swallow. My first target audience won't be the general public, I'd go for an audience that has big numbers and are more expressive about their thoughts. The first target audience would be students—majorly public school, those guys are always sure lovers of good food as long as they are well treated and could easily relate with restaurant attendance: where their presence is validated and appreciated daily.
I was once a student and I know how much we like eating out at very good restaurant that treated us as premium customers everytime. Students find it easy and readily talk about their best experiences when chance presents itself. If I could put things in place to make my customer feel like they are getting more than enough, the name of the restaurant will be in streets soonest: they would tell their parents, siblings, friends, church members about it.
The next set of people (audience) will be those that stay close to or have business in and around major bus stops and garages. This time around, I'd have to brand myself to fit this kind of audience. They don't do much classy or premium package—all they need it a good environment to eat very delicious and satisfying foods. I'd also have to consider the kind of food this set of audience like more. It's usually rice, rice and beans with stew, then swallow. (some want noodles and egg at night too).
Another thing I could add to make them stick with me forever is making the restaurant quite open in such a way that they can see where the food they are eating is coming from. I mean, from my years of observation, these kind of people like to see the big pots where the rice, beans, plantain, meats, fish, kpomo, egg are coming from. In fact, they like to point at the exact ones they want, stating their preferences like pointing to a particular egg that seemed to have stayed longer in the stew, meat that has chunky with little muscle, very dried fried fish, etc.

I chose this kind of people and more specific about locations because they have the numbers I need and the location is one that always have strangers and visitors coming off a vehicle to get another one or about to get a cab or bus to the next location. Some people wait in queue for bused to get filled, get hungry in the process and would need food. Cab and bus drivers would always want to fill their stomach before, during and after work. Thugs are also frequent in such areas in their numbers.
I believe this would do justice to making more money even without the internet. I could sell foodstuffs too, I did that for many years while growing up. Mom had a shop and we are always in shop to sell, you'd be shock that people spend so much on food. There is still enough money to be made offline regardless of how much internet has and is pumping money.
Oh yeah! , we all can now use the amount we spend on internet subscription for buying of more foods😂💯.
