Just like how cars cannot move without fuel or phones would not open without electricity, us humans cannot continue with our daily activities without a source of energy to power our bodies, something that we can get through eating food which we can either prepare and cook by ourselves on the premise of our homes or mass- produced food that we can buy commercially. For most of the time, I would prefer to have home- made food rather than fast food but there are also situations where I can only eat fast food so I think having both option available is important which I will be explaining on this post.
Certainly, cooking your own food will cost way cheaper than buying fast food and at the same time, you can rest assured of the sanitation of food as you can carefully choose the ingredients and tools that you will be using when you cook. There is also the fact that by processing our own food, we can adjust the taste accordingly with what our tongue finds delicious and factored in the nutritional balance of the food we it. That is why it is more preferable to have your to be food home- made rather than to buy fast food. However, cooking home- made food can also used up a lot of time and add more work for people and its not that everyone has the spare time and energy to cook so when hunger takes over, they will just eat fast food regardless of its cost or even if it barely have any nutritional value and sometimes, was not really appetizing to eat.

Home- made food: $2.00

Fast Food: $5.50
Just take the 2 pictures above as an example. The first one was my lunch from a couple of months ago which are made by my mom. The cost for this per serving was not more than $2.00. On the other hand, the second one was a breakfast that I have just around 2 weeks ago when we suddenly run out of gas and it was like 4:00 in the morning so store was still closed. With no way to cook breakfast, I decided to just buy fast food which operates 24/7 and that food has cost me $5.50,more than twice the cost to my lunch but since I need to go to work that day, I cannot afford to skip a meal cause having an empty stomach might result on me making a mistake on work. Also considering that most people that work are often far away from home, even if they want to each home- made food unless, they maybe bring lunch boxes but that also means that they need to wake up more early to prepare the food. That is why I think that it is just fine for people to have the option to buy fast food rather than to cook for themselves when the situation calls over it. Thankfully, our company cafeteria sells multiple types of food which includes vegetable dishes which makes it closer to home- made food than a fast food.
Cooking home- made food comes with a cheaper cost and will give you a more appetizing and balanced meal so I mostly preferred cook food to eat but when such a task is impossible due to ones schedule together with other various situation, a compromise must be made to eat fast food instead and the idea of trying to resist ones hunger can pose a threat on ones health like getting ulcer so its best to always eat on time.
