Home is one of those particular places which has a lot of connection with in itself and we always look forward towards having a similar kind of environment anywhere we are away from home it can be in terms of the food we eat as well as the things that we have in our home as well and be always try to make it feel home wherever we are but unfortunately it is not always possible and is something that is some sacrifice that we have to be making which is why we always Crave for home in different aspects.
I live away from home and it has been something which has been doing since a very long time and it has been years that I stayed more than a week at home which has made me a little bit homesick as well and the things that I never really paid much attention to has now become something that is all I want from my life itself and that is something which used to be a normal activity at my home.
One of the things that I miss the most about home itself is going to be the food that I used to enjoy at a very frequent basis which is something that I miss the most as over the place that I live in right now I don't no much how to cook and I am very much dependent on restaurants as well as my friends so no how to cook and that is what makes me even more craving for the food that used to be cooked daily at myself.
Eating is something that surely is one of my favourite activities to be doing and food has always been my love and at home it used to be something that I never really thought about much because I used to get served quite amazing and delicious dishes by my grandmother as well as my mother as well because the boot used to be cooking and it was great and never really thought much of it back then.
But now everything reminds me of those particular days, and there are a lot of such food items that I miss right now, but if there is one particular food that I am asked about, and ask to just mention one particular food which is going to remind me of home instantly, then it will be the simple Khichdi. It is one of the most common Indian household food items that is eaten across the country but it is much more to do with the memory is that it holds with itself rather than just the taste because it used to be something that had a lot of meaning with in itself and now all of the memory is remain that is why whenever I here or get to see Khichdi somewhere I get instantly reminded about home.
It was those rainy day is when no one wanted to cook anything and it was a very gloomy day for themost off it then Khichdi was present on the dining table itself which has its own Charm within itself because it brought a lot of people together as well as it is pretty simple to make as well but at the same time it is something that can taste amazing with some pickle and papad.
It was in my childhood itself when Khichdi was something that was quite common and was a particular food item which was regularly cooked at my house and it had a lot of things with in itself such as the emotional part of my brain is connected Khichdi with my childhood and all of the things that used to revolve around it it has made it such a special dish for me. Khichdi even now has that capability for me to evoke Nostalgia every single time I get a little bit of scent of it in my nose.
As a child I never really used to enjoy Khichdi much but it was something that I used to like having whenever it was made but it never was a go to meal for me but now after so many years it has kind of become my comfort food because I get an opportunity to have it now and when I do I try to enjoy it and get myself lost in the memories of the old days which is something that I enjoyed to do as it surely feels to be a very great thing and surely something that used to bring people together and those rainy days was something that has always made it so much nostalgic within itself.
Right now it is much more than just a dish for me and one of those this is for sure which reminds me your home whenever I even get to listen to its name its self and surely is one of my comfort food and whenever I get an opportunity to go home it is something that is getting cooked at least one day for my entire visit and even now it surely brings all of those old memories such as many people sitting together and that amazing experience that you have while having it is also something that surely exist even now.
