Now you have a degree in entering data in a spreadsheet of Microsoft, but anything outside of those lines, and you’re totally lost!

Oh yes, I've noticed! Hyper-specialization to the max, which makes people completely useless outside of their super-narrow area of specialized training! I never had an interest in doing that, as I've always been deeply multifaceted, multidimensional, and multifarious.
