I just learned that Western Swing is the State Music of Texas. It was officially recognized as the “Official State Music of Texas” on February 19, 2024.
I grew up and spent all my life in Texas listening to this genre of music so am very surprised for it to take this long to be recognized as the official music of Texas. I had always thought it already was.

Rising Star Game
The RisingStar game is on the Hive Blockchain. It is a card collection game that allows you to experience the struggles of becoming a musician. Rising from the lowly ranks of a busker to being the headliner of your own tour and everything in between.
Raves
Rising Star Raves is an interesting addition to the Rising Star Game. It adds a new dimension and keeps the game fresh for existing players and a new component that new players will enjoy exploring. I participate in it each time that I log in to Rising Star. I liking guessing which group will have the most Ravers and will win that Rave.
There have been 358 Raves so far and I have participated in 251 of them. I earn 0.001 Hive from playing each Rave but have also won various amounts of Starbits from being one of the clickers on the dancer.
This morning when I first got online, I was starting up my missions and had an "Instant Win" of 1039 Starbits. I think participating in th Raves in RisingStar is more than worth it.
Progress and Ranking
Last week i was in 247 position in the rankings. This week i have dropped another 11 positions to 258. This time I can’t blame the holidays as I thought i was running missions whenever I could. I think that other players are back from holidays running missions so there is more competition to rank up. I will need to try to squeeze even more missions runs into the schedule. Let’s continue to look forward.
I was able to advance one level to level 165. Only 10 more levels before i can unlock the next higher mission.
Rising Star Stats
When I am able to stay on top of running missions, I try to use all of my energy. Currently I have 0% energy so when this mission completes, I may need to use one of my pizza slices to charge up to run additional missions.
You never know when the temporary drunk fans will love your music. On the mission I ran overnight , I got lucky so to speak and hit the jackpot of Drunk fans.
I had 7248 new drunk fans loving my music. This is a double edged sword so to speak. On one hand more fans mean more rewards. On the other hand more fans increase your ego if you do not have offsetting skill points lowering your earnings due to the increased Ego %. As you can see my Ego % junoed to 26% which is way too high for my liking.
