Splinterlands is a trading card game on the Hive Blockchain. I have been playing this game for many years as it continues to add new dynamics to its ever popular selection of different game play
You can even own and work land if the matches are not your cup of tea so to speak.
As the new season begins, I was reset to Silver III. I was only able to make it up to Silver I even though I wanted to reach Gold III. The reason you would want to make the higher tiers is simple - reward system. With each march you earn Glint, SPS and tier points. Each new season reset is based upon how high you made it the prior season.
Thus since I only made it to Silver I, I was reset to Silver III.
Glint Earned
Once you arn Glint in matches, there are lots o dirnt options or you to spend them. Hower you must rmbr Glint is Soulbound (tied to account).
I currently have 660,991 Glint available to be used in the Glint Shop. I have been saving up my Glint to purchase the Limited Exclusive Titles. I purchased one of the titles "The Proven" and was looking forward to earning enough for the next one “The Veteran" but alas it has already sold out and is no longer available. That means I must use my Glint for other available items.
There are draws available in the Glint shop to acquire copies of the Rebellion reward cards. In the rarity draws, you would get a regular foil with a small chance of a gold foil card. Or you can just use your Glint to purchase one of the Gold foil draws. You would not know which card of that rarity it would be but you would know that it was a gold foil card.
I have at least one copy of all the common regular foil reward cards but only 1 Gold foil common card. I am missing three of the rare cards and have non of the epic or Legendary cards.
My deck that I use to play modern matches is made up of Chaos Legion cards. If Splinterlands stays on target with the release of the next edition of cards, I will be in big trouble since Chaos Legion cards will not longer be able to be played in the modern league. Between now and then, I will need to get more Rebellion cards.
I have not for certain decided to use my Glint for cards but if I do, it will probably be for the Gold foul draws.
Other options
Other options are also available. There are Loot Chests and Resources. With the Loot Chests there is about a third of a chance to receive reward cards otherwise you would receive merits, energy or potions. The Loot Chests and merits have a limit you can purchase so you would need to do some calculations to determine how to spend your hard earned Glint.
