Alive and in good company

I am alive and blessed. This little fellow in the picture has been recovering slowly. I will admit it was a little awkward. Yet for the first time since he's been with me, this little guy suddenly developed an appetite. You can see his story below .

I've been blessed to have spent the last couple weeks here in Aguada, Puerto Rico. It's been nice. An unexpected blessing thanks to my Dad. I've been able to step back, and enjoy the clarity that comes from a change of pace. It's been pretty peaceful. Though as I write this there's a bit of celebration that can be felt throughout the island. Not quite sure if it's due to political campaigning, or a holiday that I'm unaware of.

Either way I've taken time to rekindle the #aliveandthriving that had been somewhat smothered by monotony. I'm grateful to my dad. Two months ago I was unaware that I'd be sitting on a porch. Two blocks away from a beautiful beach. Doing my best to focus on my writing with fire works exploading near by.

Yet I'm being intentional about enjoying the moment. One again the #hiveisalive within me. I can feel my creativity returning along with a renewed sense of opportunity and possibilities.

Though I miss my friends and family back home. I have this little demanding fellow to keep me company, and distract me from my thoughts of home.

It's been a nice experience. My daily monotony can make spending time with my family a challenge. I was starting to feel trapped by routine. I'm grateful to my dad for providing me with a chance to step back and live.

Sometimes we just need to surround ourselves with others who are alive and thriving. If you haven't already. I recommend visiting the #wearealivetribe. You won't regret association.
