RE: What's the APR for delegators?

in We Are Alive Tribe26 days ago

Thanks very much for this explanation of liotes.voter delegation APR.

Recently, I had a feeling that I could improve my curation returns by increasing my delegation. But I didn't really understand how that would work.

Now, you have explained it perfectly. So I'm happy to know that I made the right decision.

Of course, my main aim is to get into the top 50. So if anyone has tips or tricks to help me do that, I would really appreciate it.

I'm happy you found this helpful. When you curate with a small amount of Hive power, you will probably get no curation rewards because your rewards are below what they call dust level. Until you have about 500 HP, I would keep 100 HP to make sure that you have enough RC to interact and I would delegate the rest of your HP to liotes.voter for example. Then I would act as follows:

  • take LEN earnings and swap them for hive over keychain swap or tribaldex or beeswap. Power up the Hive and reset your delegation. Don't do it every day but maybe once a week. Like that your hive power will continuously grow and your income from your delegation as well. The advantage is that by reinvesting your earnings and maybe also your post and comment rewards, you will grow your account faster and faster. Your delegation will also grow and this will push you in the ranking.

  • Another thing that you can do is to use the tokens on the second layer and swap them for hive power.

In my opinion, the most important thing is to grow your hive power as fast a possible.

This is just one way of doing it and it shouldn't be considered as financial advice ;-)
