Someone on the platform had a good laugh with me about how I suddenly ended up on the leaderboard after a busy week. Well, here’s the truth: it’s not magic. It’s efficiency, a skill I’ve mastered after raising five kids. Trust me, when you’ve had that many schedules to juggle, you learn how to make the most of every minute.
This morning started at 6 a.m., and here’s a little glimpse of what that looked like:
I prepped food for the day, knowing I wouldn’t have time to cook later. Fresh salads, a bowl of fruit, roasted potatoes, and even fresh tea with lemon, ginger, and spices (though let’s be honest, I was dreaming of coffee the entire time).
The laundry’s going, and the house will be cleaned before I head out to take my daughter to her revalidation sessions. That’s a two-day-a-week commitment, and it means hours on the road and in waiting rooms.
And in those small pockets of free time, what do I do?
I dive into Hive, reading posts, commenting, and engaging with this amazing community. Not just scrolling mindlessly, but setting a fixed time to interact with intention. It’s a balance, fitting my passions into a day that’s already packed with responsibilities.
For me, time is the most valuable thing in the world. You can lose money and earn it back. You can misplace items and find them later. But time? You never get it back. That’s why I’ve learned to use it wisely.
It’s not about perfection. It’s about finding those small windows of opportunity and making the most of them. And yes, sometimes that lands me on a leaderboard, and other times, it simply makes me feel like I’ve achieved something meaningful for the day.
Here’s to making time for what matters, and finding joy in the little moments, even on busy days. Like getting a bath now before the big start.
With love from a multitasking entrepreneur and mom,
