Spanish Version Bellow

The day is ending on Sunday, and it has been very calm and peaceful for me. It's just how I like the days in my #life. Also, in the list of #History Anniversaries for today, I found one that refers to a #food that caught my attention.

Well, before I go on to comment on the celebration of the day, I am going to comment very briefly on my day. I got a translation job in the mail this morning, I worked on it after lunch and it was pretty easy. Other than that, I have done little during the day. That being the case, it is better to comment on the celebration. Today is 'Blueberry Pie Day', a North American celebration that began in the region of Maine.

The origin of #blueberries is American, it is a wild berry that is easy to find in some areas of the North American East Coast. With the arrival of Europeans to America, at the end of the 15th century, the discovery of edible plants was very relevant, so products like these berries were gaining recognition.

Although we will have to wait until the 19th century to locate the first record of a #dessert recipe that included blueberries, it was reviewed in the New England Farmer Journal, in 1829. Then 43 years passed, until A recipe specifically for #Pie was published in Appledore's Cookbook (1872).

The spread of the recipe, and the love of Blueberries, is attributed to the soldiers of the Civil War, who came to try them in Maine and then took them with them to other regions of the United States.

As for its spread to other countries, we would have to wait until the 20th century for it to take place. Seeing this, it is normal to understand that today's celebration begins this month, since it is the beginning month of the blueberry harvest in Maine. And even though it started as a National Day, it is gaining popularity in other countries in our 21st century.

Well, that would be all for today, I say goodbye, wishing you that you also had a good day, that you are well, and that we can read again another time.

Aún estoy acostumbrándome a usarla :)

It seems delicious. It's delicious, isn't it?

Thanks for sharing the history of this recipe.

Also, it's good to hear that you got an easy translation job.

Is that the kind of job you work from home?

Hello. I do consulting work, translations are an occasional thing, but they help with the budget :)
