I've had a good Sunday, but I've been behind on my post for the day for several reasons. On the one hand, I slept during the day because I was working on a job that I woke up from Saturday to Sunday to finish. Elsewhere, there have been different power outages. And, finally, I had to help my brother take care of the cat Vero, who has an injured leg and is very uncooperative in helping us cure him.

He tenido un buen domingo, pero he estado retrasado en mi publicación del día por varios motivos. Por una parte, dormí durante el día por estar sacando un trabajo con el que amanecí de sábado para domingo para terminarlo. En otra parte, ha habido diferentes cortes de servicio eléctrico. Mejor cambiemos de tema. Hoy, lo que me ayudó a llevar el día fue más que todo el café. Y resulta que mi hermano me mostró una imagen de un raro tipo de café de origen asiático. En esta presentación de #cafe se sirve el líquido caliente en una taza ancha, y se le coloca por encima una nube de Algodón de Azúcar. Con el vapor del café se derrite la nube de azúcar que tiene por encima y este azúcar cae en la taza, endulzando el café con una ‘Lluvia Dulce’.
Yo encontré muy interesante la imagen y la busqué un poco, me encontré que la difusión de esta novedad comenzaba en este lado del mundo por publicaciones en Instagram. En ellas, se identificaba al local que lo había hecho, que era el Mellower Coffee, de Shanghái.

En algunas fotos, no se observa como es que el Algodón de Azúcar está colgando sobre el café y da la ilusión de que flota por el mismo vapor, eso pasó con la primera foto que vi de esta #bebida. Pero luego hallé otras que mostraban que había un soporte lateral que mantenía el azúcar sobre la taza, sin que mediara otra cosa.
He de decir que me pareció intrigante la idea, pero al evaluar las reseñas, encontré dos problemas. El primer problema es que la masa del Algodón de Azúcar excede el tamaño de la taza, usualmente, y al caer la lluvia de azúcar condensada, sucede que se rocía sobre la taza y sus alrededores, con lo que la experiencia de beber esto es pegajoso.
El segundo problema sería que, si lo dejas poco tiempo bajo la lluvia dulce, entonces queda amargo el café, pero si lo dejas demasiado tiempo, entonces, queda tan dulce que parece un jarabe indigesto. Podría mencionar un problema más que es su precio ($9), pero (según leí) es un precio bastante ‘normal’ considerando los precio de Shanghái.
En fin, incluso si me parece un café interesante, y que me encanta el café, dudo mucho que me prepare alguna vez una taza como esta. Pero, quién sabe, tal vez lo hagamos por curiosidad u otra cosa en algún futuro.
