It is a cold Saturday night, December 23rd. That 'cold' thing is relative, since I live in the tropics, and the temperature where I live doesn't really drop much below 10º Celsius. But, since the temperature on a pleasant day is about 25º, you can imagine that anything that is a drop of half the usual temperature can be considered cold weather.
My whole rant about the cold, or relative cold, at the end of the day, is because I don't like the discomfort I feel in my joints when the weather drops like this. Anyway, let's just get this rambling out of the way. There is nothing interesting to share in my current life. Maybe the only thing new is that I'm trying out an IDLE style game. But I have little progress for now.
As it turned out later than it should, thanks to the fact that I was distracted, it is better that I proceed to comment on the #History anniversary that I chose for today, which is that this day is 'Cookie Day' Pfeffernüsse'.

Es una fría noche de sábado, 23 de diciembre. Eso de 'frío' es algo relativo, pues vivo en el trópico, y acá la temperatura por donde vivo en realidad no baja mucho más allá de 10º Celsius. Pero, siendo que la temperatura en un día agradable es de unos 25º, puedes imaginar que todo lo que sea una caída de la mitad de la temperatura usual se puede considerar que es un clima frío.
Toda mi diatriba sobre el frío, o relativo frío, a fin de cuentas, es debido a que no me gusta sentir la incomodidad que siento en mis articulaciones cuando el clima baja de esta manera. En fin, simplemente dejemos de lado esta divagación. No hay nada interesante que compartir en mi vida actual. Quizás lo único nuevo es que estoy probando un juego de estilo IDLE, o juego inactivo. Pero tengo poco avance por ahora.

Es una fecha que escogí por ser del tema de la #comida, además de que se trata de una #galleta que, según leí, es tradicional de las fiestas navideñas en los países de ascendencia germana, tales como Alemania y Austria. I chose to comment on the celebration of this particular cookie, because I have a young cousin living on that side of the world. So, when reading the list of anniversaries it caught my attention, and I became a little nostalgic remembering when he was a child, and we took care of him at home, then he grew up and emigrated. But I still have him in my memories, and I write to him periodically to find out how his life is going.

Escogí comentar sobre la celebración de esta galleta en particular, por la cuestión de que tengo a un primo joven viviendo por aquel lado del mundo. Así que al leer el listado de efemérides me llamó la atención, y me puse un poco nostálgico recordando cuando él era niño y lo cuidábamos en casa, luego creció y emigró. Pero aún lo tengo presente en mis memorias y le escribo periódicamente para saber cómo va su vida.
Ahora, con todo esto escrito, me han dado ganas de tomar un chocolate caliente y acompañarlo con unas galletas (sonrisa personal), como sea, supongo que soy de los que se la pasan comiendo algo cada vez que pueden.
