Tropical thunderstorm. That's the weather I'm having right now on this side of the world, and it's looking strong enough that I'm afraid it will knock me out of power, or internet, at any moment, so I'm going to post the day's log, while I still can.

It's a Thursday, a little busier than usual. Rainy weather is common in this part of the year, and storm season is approaching in this part of the tropics. On personal matters, today I spoke on the phone with my sister, and we arranged some things that we had pending to send as gifts to an uncle and father. It was easy to complete, and the task didn't take me long. My brother has been taking care of things at home.

As for the weather that has put me on alert, it is simply one of those storms that breaks out with almost no warning.

The weather can be quite changeable in this area. Although I have read that our temperature and humidity variations are relatively few each day, compared to other places. I read about a colleague who was doing exploration work in a desert area of the Southern Cone of America. And there the day could be extremely hot, and at night the temperature dropped almost to the freezing point of the water.

These temperature changes can be fatal. In another case, my sister told me that where she lives, it could very well happen that on Monday it will be mild summer heat, on Tuesday it will rain a little with a slightly lower temperature, and on Thursday it will already be snowing… Similar changes in climate in A matter of days would be something terrible for me.

So, despite the inconvenience caused by service failures due to the effects of storms, I prefer not to complain too much about the weather in these parts of the world.

We are lucky, on this side of the screen, to have an old and solid house, away from flows of water that overflow due to flooding of water currents. Separated from hills or cliffs that may collapse due to rain. In short, a house that, despite how old it is, turns out to be quite safe.

By the way, I live in the Tropic of Cancer, very close to the geographic equator. That may explain the storms, but I'm glad I'm not in the Antilles, which is where the 'corridor of storms' lies, destroying everything in their path every year.

Well, I'd better post while I eat. My brother prepared the food, and it's still hot. Even if there are service failures within a while, I can assume that: 'with a full stomach, the sorrows weigh less'. Or at least that's what an old saying goes.

I hope you are well and that we can read each other another time.

Bueno, mejor voy a publicar mientras me dedico a comer.

Thanks for comment.
The storm was strong, and the services were failing a little, but we were lucky and everything is calm now.
And I say lucky because I saw a video from some residents of the area, but it is lower (it is close to a riverbed). It happens that in the video you can see how the water level rose, reaching a height where it covered the road, and the cars could hardly move.
The premises and houses that were in that sector were flooded.
With all that, it can be said that we are doing quite well. A little inconvenience, due to a temporary lack of services, is much better than having the house flooded, furniture and books damaged, and all the problems that entails.
