For some of us early risers, this Wednesday started really early.
The moon had not yet left the sky, where the sun appeared from the opposite side, and we were already driving and arrived at the client with whom we have an early morning meeting scheduled for today.
After a few hours of sitting in the meeting room, we were waiting to go home.
And now the question is, where is the walk this Wednesday?
Passing through the regions of Albania, on one side of a high mountain, on the other a large plain, I inquired about an ethnic village nearby, for which I received a recommendation.
They told me, if you're passing through these roads, you must stop at Mrizi and Zanave, an agrotourism estate, which will offer you, in addition to excellent food, a nice place to stay outside and take a little walk.
Why not.
We were passing by, hungry and wanting to stretch our legs.
And so I gave myself a true gastronomic #wednesdaywalk experience.
We parked the car and walked along the road past a meadow covered with white geese.
At first it seemed to me that it was some white stones, but when we got closer, it started to move, so it's not stones but something alive 🙂 and in a very large number.
We also passed by a stable for goats, where we stopped and played with them a short time.
The store that offers products from this farm was also interesting.
Cheeses, syrups, jams, brandies, cosmetic products, dried fruits and teas - something for everyone.
This agro-tourism destination is known for the bunker in its yard (it is one of the bunkers from the time of the communist dictator Enver Hoxha, which I wrote about during my previous visits to Albania).
If you are here with children, I think it would be interesting to ride in a nice car that will take them around the whole farm.
We've had enough of driving, and the question is whether we could fit in these small wagons, trailers 🙂
But that's why we were able to settle in the restaurant, which was about time, because we were really hungry.
Washing hands in an interestingly arranged toilet, a combination of contemporary ceramics and stone, and seating at a table in the restaurant, which we reached by a beautifully arranged staircase.
The weather was pleasant, and if there was room in the garden, they would have settled under this trellis of vines, but as they had an announcement of some kind of celebration, they directed us to the restaurant above.
We accepted and did not repent.
Excellently arranged space, clean, with white tablecloths and flowers, in a combination of stone and wood.
Our gastronomic adventure could begin. We surrendered to the waiter and enjoyed everything he brought us.
We had one more part of the ride ahead of us, so we shouldn't overindulge in drinks. One craft beer from a local producer quenched our thirst, and the 7 plates of appetizers that were brought to us also quenched our hunger.
For the main course, I chose goat meat with potatoes, which was perfect.
And with some fruit, we also sweetened ourselves with a cheesecake with pomegranate, which grows on this farm at every turn, even under the window of the restaurant.
After lunch, we left the restaurant and took another walk around the farm and headed to the car and drove home.
I'm putting this place on my map in #worldmappin, because if I find myself on this road again, I'll definitely come back, and I recommend you, if you're on the Skadar-Tirana road, don't miss this place.
There is a lot to see, you can take a walk, buy something in the store, and certainly eat well.
With positive and beautiful impressions, I end here my #wednesdaywalk And continue on my way, until the moon appears in the sky again, this time to mark the end of a very long day.
