Good day, dear hivers. How's your day?
Today, I will be sharing my trip to Thailand when I was still working for a different company. Working there for almost 2 years was like a challenge for me. My work allows me to drive from Mandaue City to Cebu City by motorcycle.
I deposit and withdraw money alone for my boss. I process papers for employees sometimes. I cook food for my coworkers because we are staying. My life was full of many-in-one responsibilities as an employee. I didn't complain because I just like the job, especially driving a motorcycle. I can still remember that my first trip was to Naga City, Cebu.
That trip was a nightmare because I don't want to drive in the city because I only drive in the province. You know, it's such a big difference. But my brother, who worked there, also told me to just try. What? try? haha. I told him, Are you sure? He told me that I could manage. Ah, okay, really?
That day, when I tried to drive in the city, I was afraid of too many cars and motorcycles around me. But it's all worth it because I was able to gain confidence in driving to wherever I went in Cebu.
With my co-employee, we decided to go to a certain mall in Thailand to buy some burgers. I was just so happy to be in Thailand for the first time. Seeing the beauty of Thailand was amazing. The thing I will not forget in this place is how they drive. It's reverse; we Filipinos drove on the left side of the car, but in Thailand, people drove on the right.
This time we take a walk beside the mall to see the beauty of their buildings. They are beautiful to see at night but sadly wasn't able to take a picture. But I was amaze of how Thailand maintain the cleanliness of the soroundings and it's not that chaotic, it is just peaceful for me.
I saw this elephant at the mall, and I was amazed at how big it was. And I remember that Thailand is known for many elephants; that is why.
Me and my brother enjoyed the food at the buffet area. Drinks are just so refreshing, and they really taste good. Actually, I am not picky about the food; as long as it is not poisonous, then it's okay.
Our boss offered some at the Four-Faced Buddha. We probably just need to accompany him wherever he goes. He prayed there and also gave some to charities.
We stayed at the Arnoma Grand Bangkok. It was a nice hotel—peaceful and clean—and the staff was very accommodating. We enjoyed our talk. We went to a market and bought some souvenirs. For me, I bought those pillows there that I can use on the plane. The one with Thailand written on it. I bought one pair of black sandals or flats too. I love flats because I'm not comfortable with heels. My brother bought two school bags for my kid and another for my sister's son.
To sum it up, my journey, or our journey in Thailand, was short but unforgettable. It was knowing the country of the other and being able to differentiate things out. I am a fan of being a traveler, but my budget was still tight until this time.
It made me realize that I missed some of the beautiful places in the Philippines when I was in my 20's. I don't know if I still have time to explore. Sometimes, when your kids are with you, it allows you not to go out because you are afraid of their safety.
Most especially when it's a bond or trip to the sea. I'm afraid.
Working with our Chinese boss was alright; he was a boss who is merciful, helps the poor, and is most especially very generous. He is very dedicated and disciplined in his business, and he is very passionate. I remember when it was my birthday, he bought me cake from a popular supplier with quality of ingredients.
Before I resigned, I did say thank you to my boss for the opportunities he gave me and to my companion. We need him a lot of the time, especially during emergencies, and with no hesitation, we can cash advance. I learned their way of praying; yes, sometimes we go to a certain temple and, of course, observe how they do it. I am happy for the experience he gave us. It's worth it to be his employee. I hope to meet my boss and colleagues when the time comes.
To end my blog, my heartfelt thanks go to all the people behind the success of this community. Hopefully, the community will still grow this year. And as we welcome 2024, let us not forget the important people behind why we are here and how they patiently thought we would grow. The value of discipline does exist. Once again, take care all, thank you, and have a blissful year, everyone!
A Sincere Thank you to my onboarder, @jobeliever
