Students of Le Merridrianne Heights chose the Eastern waterfront as their venue for this year's picnic. By noon all of then had converged at the assembly ground waiting patiently for the school coaster bus to convey them to the venue.
Once they got there, they also saw students from other schools, about three, already there and enjoying themselves. There were enough things already on ground. Barbecues, smoked meat, assorted foods and seafoods. There was also palmwine.
The students were much eager to hit tht water and start swimming. Their tour guide cautioned them against that but asked them to take a little guide from her second before they can launch themselves to swim. She told the students that before they venture to swim they should think is safety first. You cannot swing without wearing a life jacket. Again, there are certain areas of the water where one don't swim. They listened to her with rapt attention.
Thereafter, almost all the students went for the life jackets as they really wanted to swim. That was the attraction for taking the picnic to that venue in the first place.
They swam to their satisfaction and also applied all the safety first techniques thought them by their guide.
