Jane has been coughing for the past two days. And the cough usually disturbs her while at work. It even gets worse during the night. She decided to run a test to.ascertoan the type of cough that she is having.
She went to her physician who ran who conducted some tests on her and it was confirmed that the cough wasn't all that contagious unlike what she has earlier feared about. The physician promptly prescribed some medicine for her. The medicine includes a syrup and some tablets. It will be taken morning and night for three days. Thereafter the cough will clear. Jane thanked the physician and went to a pharmacist for the drugs.
Having bought the medicine she was advised to shake the syrup before taking it. However, when Jane got home and wanted to take the medicine she gave the syrup a vigorous shake and opened the cover almost immediately. Then the unexpected happened as the vigorous shake made the medicine to foam and spill away immediately Jane removed the cover. More than half of its content poured way in the process.
Not minding what had happened Jane went ahead and took the medicine like that. Unfortunately, it did not last up to the prescribed three days dosage. It got finished on the second day. By the fourth day after Jane had finished the medicine, the cough refused to go away.
Jane got annoyed.ad blamed the medicine for not being effective. However, her friend Anne countered her and reminded her of the way she took it. She advised Jane to visit the physician again for proper medical advice. Reluctantly, Jane agreed and they fixed the next day for the visit.
