Two to three days after I noticed that I couldn't see some of the seed that has boud and I was curious to know what was happening on getting there I realized that something has digged it from the ground I was shocked and at the same time sad. I decided to make enquiry of what was going on from those I know who farmed and I was told the likelihood of what it may be.
I decided to watch out for myself but I realize that the animal always comes at night so I couldn't get it moreover I have replanted the ones that was dung out.
The animal persist until I was almost giving up, at this time the weed was already growing back and I noticed that the maize I planted among the weed the animal didn't notice it so I left it alone there and they where growing with the weed.
One faithful day I was inside the kitchen and was hearing some kind of sound from the backyard so I tip toe to see what it was low, it was the animal that has been dealing mercilessly with my maize immediately anger rose inside of me and I decided to pursued it out and I saw that the animal has broken the stem of most of the maize I became emotional instantly don't.
know who to cry to so as to receive succour that was how I gave up on it but didn't stop making enquiry about what happened.
Finally I saw someone who told me that they are bush rat and the usually dung out the maize seed to eat it and where the seed has fully grown to particular stage they deal with the stem to suck the fluid in it.
With all the opposition and trouble from the rats one survived I kept wondering how but yes it did and brought forth two comb one was eaten by rabbit (another enemy) they other was harvested by me.
