Greetings dear Hiveans....Hope the weekend kept all of you busy with your family and friends around. So here is the prompt for this weeks contest.
What I see:
A school environment, as you can see a lot of desk and chair, and a child is sitting all alone and working on laptop.
What I feel:
Work assiged for students. A school boy trying to complete his work, after the assigned time is over, possibly with valid reasons.
A fabricated story:
The Central school in the city centre, was the most reputed one with most students from affluent family. The students here are quite talented in one or other activity, apart from studies.
Among them was Jerin, a smart boy from a middle class family. His only mode of transportation to school was public transport, while most students reached in their own private vehicle.
Jerin, was admitted to this school in Grade 6, by securing full mark in the admission test. His remarkable behaviour and code of conduct made him, his teachers pet, very soon. Infact, he was teachers pride. Bit his classmates envied him and had a hatred towards him.
Their was an open competition held in this school, for students from Grade-6 to Grade 8, to Program a project related to school academics. And who ever wins, will be given a chance to attend the National Talent exam conducted by the State. To everybody's surprise Jerin bagged the prize. A proud moment for the school.
Not able to withstand his achievements, his own classmates fabricated a fake story to the school management, saying he cheated the authorities by copying.
The school authorities did not fall to such fake news, instead they decided to give him another project during the school hours, inorder to please the other students and to prove his calibre. And this time not in a closed room, but in the open hall, with the assistance of a teacher.
Jerin as usual passed with flying colours and was selected as one of the contestants for the National Talent Exam. Soon, he was declared as the champion of the National Talent exam and was honored as one of the youngest talented champ. From then on, he was also respected by his class mates and senior students in his school.
This is the story of many students, facing similar problems. Hope you enjoyed reading this short fiction.
