Tà Xùa, currently one of the hottest cloud-chasing spots, maintains its pristine beauty, relatively untouched by urbanization or excessive tourism. In this travel review of Tà Xùa, we'll capture all the fun spots for everyone to consider and experience more fully. The best time to chase clouds in Tà Xùa is from November to January of the following year according to the Gregorian calendar. During this period, Sơn La's weather is stable, with sunny days and a high chance of encountering sea clouds, especially during the sunset when the air becomes pleasantly cool.
The beauty in Tà Xùa revolves around mountains, clouds, sunrise, and sunset. For such vast and majestic landscapes, choosing bright-toned and slightly contrasting outfits to stand out in photos is a good idea. For men, a simple and cool outfit would suffice. Don't forget to prepare a hat and sunglasses to protect against the sun's impact when taking photos.
Tà Xùa's central area has many homestays and guesthouses. Below are some places you might want to try:
Homestay Đỉnh Tà Xùa: Superb View
With a height resembling the spine of a dinosaur, this homestay offers a unique experience. Especially, the Bungalow rooms with glass views are a great choice to enjoy sea clouds. Other corners of the homestay are also beautiful. The homestay tends to be fully booked on weekends, so if you want to secure a spot, book in advance and consider having lunch at the homestay's restaurant for the full experience. The food is well-rated, but the service may not be fully professional. Note that the rooms do not have two-way air conditioning, so it might get a bit cold at night.
Nhà của Táo: Good Service and Central View
This homestay is highly rated for its service, although the view is not as stunning as some other homestays. The rooms have air conditioning and are centrally located, making it convenient for travel.
Lu Trế: Beautiful Homestay with High View
This homestay is praised for its height and beautiful view, endorsed by many travel bloggers. It is highly recommended for those who love exploration.
If you're a fan of discovery, Tà Xùa is undoubtedly an exciting and full-of-opportunities destination to capture beautiful moments. Don't hesitate to explore and immerse yourself in the pristine beauty of this location.
A 2-Day 1-Night Adventure in Tà Xùa: Cloud Chasing and Exploring the Beauty of Northwest Mountains
Tà Xùa—a name associated with impressive videos showcasing the mountainous terrain of Northwest Vietnam, has attracted numerous travelers, especially the younger generation, to experience the tranquility, wilderness, and beauty of nature. Let me recount our journey of discovering Tà Xùa during a 2-day 1-night trip with my group.
1. Sống Lưng Khủng Long (Dinosaur Spine Ridge) Sống lưng khủng long, resembling the spine of a dinosaur when viewed from above, is an unmissable destination when visiting Tà Xùa. You can choose to walk or hire a motorbike taxi to navigate the challenging 1km path from the center. The descent can be tough, especially on the steep rocky sections. Our group opted for local H'Mong motorbike taxis, negotiating a memorable journey at 400K VND for 9 people, a reasonable price for a memorable experience.
2. Mỏm Cá Heo (Dolphin Rock) Dolphin Rock is a popular check-in point in Tà Xùa. A rock formation resembling a dolphin surrounded by the majestic mountainous landscape offers an excellent space to capture beautiful moments and enjoy the serene atmosphere of nature.
3.Cây Cô Đơn (Lonely Tree) Near Dolphin Rock is the Lonely Tree, a single-standing tree amidst the grandeur of the mountainous terrain. With a green river below and hills on both sides, the Lonely Tree creates a picturesque and romantic scene.
4. Đỉnh Gió (Wind Peak) Wind Peak is the perfect spot to witness the spectacular sunset at Tà Xùa. Here, our group witnessed a vibrant sunset and the rolling sea of clouds. Cafes like Hiên Coffee, Mị Ơi, and An's Coffee at Wind Peak provide an excellent space to enjoy drinks and the scenery.
5. Mị Ơi Coffee Shop Among the cafes at Wind Peak, Mị Ơi stands out with its panoramic view of the clouds and Tà Xùa mountains. Drinks are reasonably priced, ranging from 30,000 VND to 60,000 VND. Mị Ơi also serves light snacks like instant noodles, a famous local specialty.
6. Dining and Activities During the trip, our group brought light snacks and drinks.
At the homestay, we ordered a pot of black chicken hotpot to savor the cool atmosphere of Tà Xùa. The black chicken meat was praised for its tenderness and aroma.
In this way, our adventure in Tà Xùa left us with unforgettable experiences. With its pristine beauty, tranquility, and unique destinations, Tà Xùa is not only an ideal destination for photography enthusiasts but also a place to experience the harmony between humans and the magnificent nature. Wishing you exciting and memorable adventures in Tà Xùa!
