oh how lovely! I must admit that as a Capetonian, I had a totally different beach in mind - Sandy Bay - and was pleasantly surprised by the lack of wrinkly old men in speedos (if you're lucky they're wearing any!) in your post! Thank you for the delightful imagery!

We had such a chuckle when at the pub & grill. There was a whole table of old 'ballies' having drinks, while the poor wives sat at home all alone! One old man ordered 2 pizzas about an hour later, and only then went home; poor wifey obviously was waiting impatiently at home😅
