Let's discover the beauty of Morocco #8 : Walking along Boulevard Mohamed 5 [El Hajeb]

in Worldmappin21 days ago

Hello everyone and welcome to my new adventure to discover the town of El Hajeb!

Today I decided to go for a walk along Avenue Mohamed 5, a central street bursting with life and charm. I wanted to take the time to observe the little details that make this city so special.

El Hajeb is a place that, despite its simplicity and small area, harbours many hidden treasures, little corners of magnificent greenery.

So, if you're curious to discover the quiet beauty of this town, follow me on this exploration of Avenue Mohamed 5. I'm going to explore what El Hajeb has to offer!

First of all, I'd like to show you this beautiful door that I found on my way to El Hajeb. I really liked its charm and simplicity on its own here!

My visit began with the Lalla Amina garden, one of the city's most beautiful green spaces.

This park stands out for its vast expanses of greenery and the many plants that embellish every corner of the place. Rows of trees with yellow leaves line the paths, adding an extraordinary touch, while the colourful flowers give the garden a unique charm.

The moment I was taking the photos there was a young man with apparently his girlfriend sitting on a bench and they couldn't stop looking at me! I thought they were afraid I was going to photograph them 😄 (And of course I can't do that).

After enjoying the peace and beauty of the Lalla Amina garden, I decided to continue my stroll still along Boulevard Mohamed 5 by heading towards the Dahiba park.

As I continued my walk, I came across a small body of water. The lake isn't very big and there isn't much water, but it adds a touch of freshness. As I approached, I noticed a few ducks floating calmly by, completely indifferent to passers-by. Their presence adds an extra touch of life and, frankly, you could stay here for hours watching them swimming peacefully. Little things like that are what make a park so charming!

This park is truly superb, and it would be amazing to have such a place in every city in Morocco. The park is large, even immense. I came here in the morning, so it’s a bit empty at the moment, but in the evening, it gets very busy, especially in the late afternoon.

This park is really a model; I’d love to see similar ones in other cities. Here, you can picnic, walk, meditate, or peacefully read a book...

Thank God, everything is great here. They’ve truly created a beautiful project, a relaxing space. Honestly, these officials deserve to be supported again. It’s the perfect place for a family day! I highly recommend this spot to anyone visiting the city of El Hajeb!

Up here it was a bit windy, but frankly I felt a deep connection with the environment, a sense of relaxation and well-being. It's a place where you can really recharge your batteries and let yourself be carried away by the beauty and calm of nature.

After my visit to Dahiba Park, I headed for Oman Square, right in the heart of the city.

Oman Square is a large public square, always bustling with activity. At its centre is a pretty space, surrounded by benches where passers-by come to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. The buildings around the square are decorated in a traditional style, giving it an authentic charm and reminding us of the city's rich heritage.

At the end of Boulevard Mohamed 5 I found some old villas that caught my eye! I took a photo of one of these villas!

As I was returning to the opposite side of Avenue Mohammed 5 to catch a taxi back to the city of Meknes, I noticed people entering through a small alleyway, heading for the weekly Friday prayer.

The mosque looks small and very pretty. Its walls are pale pink. People were inside the mosque with a spiritual and calm atmosphere, praying.

It was essential for me to capture this moment to share with you the beauty and serenity of this place.

Thank you so much for that lovely compliment! 😍 I'd never thought of that, but it's true that there's something magical about Elhajeb's atmosphere!
