We stayed in Pazin several times during the trip because my brothers-in-law were there to sleep, with my sister-in-law's family who is Croatian, so we had chosen Porec as a base which is not far away so we could stop by after our trips to say hello to our relatives , that day however we decided to also visit Pazin well, especially the centre. Pazin is an Istrian town located in the hinterland and is a truly suggestive and lovely place, the town is surrounded by large rock formations and wild nature. The center can be easily reached on foot and is easy to visit, as soon as we arrived we parked the car and found ourselves with my brothers-in-law ready to visit the city and have an ice cream in a renowned ice cream shop in the village. Pazino has a quiet look, with streets full of simple caae and cats, cats everywhere, something I love!

Nos quedamos en Pazin varias veces durante el viaje porque mis cuñados estaban allí para dormir, con la familia de mi cuñada que es croata, así que habíamos elegido como base Porec que no está muy lejos para poder parar. Pasamos después de nuestros viajes para saludar a nuestros familiares, pero ese día decidimos visitar también Pazin, especialmente el centro. Pazin es una ciudad de Istria situada en el interior y es un lugar verdaderamente sugerente y encantador, la ciudad está rodeada de grandes formaciones rocosas y naturaleza salvaje. Al centro se puede llegar fácilmente a pie y es fácil de visitar, nada más llegar aparcamos el coche y nos encontramos con mis cuñados dispuestos a visitar la ciudad y tomar un helado en una reconocida heladería de el pueblo. Pazino tiene un aspecto tranquilo, con calles llenas de caae sencillos y gatos, gatos por todos lados, ¡algo que me encanta!
We started the walk by wandering around the streets of the center for a bit until the main pizza, a large square with many activities, Pazino has many delicious bars and shops, then we went to the ice cream shop, where we enjoyed an excellent ice cream worthy of our Italian ice cream parlors , there were also various types of much tastier ice cream, but since we had to have lunch we couldn't overdo it! In fact, then we traveled across the country in reverse and returned to relatives' houses to eat, Croatian relatives really cook a lot and if they have guests they have real banquets, they had prepared the grill and hanbo grilled various types of red meat on the fireplace, ribs, shoulder etc.
Furthermore we had already prepared some pork cutlets, potatoes and a delicious spicy stew plus obviously various beers to accompany it all. And let's not forget the sausages, we got up to the table when it was almost evening, eating all day and enjoying the company and the warmth of the fireplace, at the end of the evening we were so full that my husband fell asleep near the fireplace ha ha ha. Yet not happy before returning to our apartment they also offered us some jacket potatoes! A nice walk and a great meal, Long live Croatia and the food of Croatian relatives!
Iniciamos la caminata deambulando un poco por las calles del centro hasta la pizzería principal, una gran plaza con muchas actividades, Pazino tiene muchos bares y tiendas deliciosas, luego fuimos a la heladería, donde disfrutamos de un excelente helado. Crema digna de nuestras heladerías italianas, también había varios tipos de helados mucho más sabrosos, pero como teníamos que almorzar ¡no podíamos excedernos! De hecho, luego viajamos por todo el país a la inversa y regresamos a las casas de nuestros familiares para comer, los parientes croatas realmente cocinan mucho y si tienen invitados hacen verdaderos banquetes, habían preparado parrilladas y hanbo asados varios tipos de carnes rojas en la chimenea, costillas, paletilla, etc.
Además ya habíamos preparado unas chuletas de cerdo, patatas y un delicioso guiso picante y obviamente varias cervezas para acompañar todo. Y no nos olvidemos de las salchichas, nos levantamos a la mesa cuando ya era casi de noche, comiendo todo el día y disfrutando de la compañía y del calor de la chimenea, al final de la velada estábamos tan llenos que mi marido se quedó dormido cerca de la chimenea ja ja ja. Sin embargo, no contentos antes de regresar a nuestro apartamento, ¡también nos ofrecieron algunas patatas asadas! Un agradable paseo y una comida estupenda. ¡Viva Croacia y la comida de los parientes croatas!
