Up and down, up and down
No better way to be a clown
-- From the Ballad of Allen Taylor

This week, despite a steady decline in impressions during the week, my X stats are mostly up. In fact, Impressions went up 45 percent and are back at 1.3 thousand for the week.

Other stats that increased this week include:

  • Engagement rate rose 32 percent to 7.7 percent (yippee yi yay!)
  • Replies increased 300 percent to 16
  • Likes jumped 164 percent to 37
  • Reposts climbed 38 percent to 11
  • Video views leaped 300 percent to 4
  • Media views rallied 500 percent to 6

Those are incredible stats. The fact that impressions and engagement rate both went up is extraordinary. The stats that declined in the last 7 days include:

  • Profile visits fell 17 percent to 5
  • New follows dropped 26 percent to 14

I picked up 14 new followers despite a decline in that statistic week to week. That means I've picked up more than 30 new followers in the last two weeks. I'm stoked.

Impressions and Engagements

Check out the steady downhill slope on Impressions. The peak was at the beginning of the week, Tuesday, August 27, when my posts saw 462 impressions. The daily impressions statistic steadily decline throughout the week and hit its low today. So far, I've only seen 18 impressions, but it's early Monday morning.

Engagements also saw a steady decline throughout the week, but with two waves of decreases. The peak, 35 impressions, occurred on August 27. Then there was a sharp decline through Friday, August 30. There was another steady decline after that through today.

Likes also declined throughout the week, but the peak occurred on Wednesday, August 28. There was a small rise to a hilltop then a a small declined, a drop off, and a steady pace at the end.

New follows shows a jagged edge.

Replies peaked at the beginning of the week, fell sharply, then remained steady for the rest of the week.

Reposts show a little mountain in the middle of the week and a steady flow at the end.

Only one thing can account for these patterns. Today is Labor Day in the U.S. Most of my followers were likely celebrating over the weekend and didn't spend much time online from Thursday through today. Maybe we'll see an uptick in some of these stats next week. We'll see.

That's all for now. Happy Labor Day!

Wow you really have shown a lot of improvement.

It goes back and forth week to week. I'm nowhere near where my high was on impressions. Engagement rate is close to its high, but not quite there. I'm happy to see new followers coming on board weekly.

Thanks for the comment.
