Well I've never really thought of pairing such thoughts with music. Anyway, someone with a victim mentality usually aren't aware they have it, until they are able to get rid of it.
As for what I find absurd... hah. We ourselves cause our own collective suffering and yet people still wonder why the world is going to the dogs. 😂

It is not that the ME era isn't justified, it is just that we can be so worried about our own selves that we stop paying attention to the needs of others.....and that comes back on us. Time spent ruminating over mistakes is what makes wisdom but it takes a little mindfulness not to let that turn into beating ourselves up.
I believe that doing so changes us down to the DNA level. Choosing happiness is a superpower!
Yeah, being a positive person in a world focused on the negative is rare to come by.
