Morning with prayer: Day Thirteen. Grace upon grace.
Glory to our Lord Jesus Christ that my eyes saw the dawn today as the night gradually lost its strength and in its place came the light!
You know to see this beauty and the process of time flowing this is a real grace which, as it may seem someone is deprived of, for example because of blindness.
Yes, someone has never seen this and will never see it but he is not deprived of the grace of the One who gives grace in abundance.
People perceive the ability to see as the norm nothing ordinary, but if a blind man suddenly begins to see again he will call it grace.
I did not always pay attention to such moments, but now, when after half a century I did not wear glasses I understand how great is the Grace of our Lord.
But our health well-being and other benefits are the grace that we receive above the main grace and this is the mercy of the Lord to us, the blood shed on the cross of Calvary for the salvation of our souls the Holy Spirit who teaches and creates us this is the true and primary grace!
Sometimes we strive to confine the grace that has no boundaries into some narrow framework and consider it as a material source of the limit of dreams when we get what we want.
The most important, but sometimes forgotten, or imperceptible part of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is like the scent of roses, which you cannot put in a purse roll up or somehow pack and store in a chest this grace does not always shout to us about itself it is modest and genuine.
Some people see grace in the multitude of servants who will dress you feed you comb your hair wash you iron you, put your pants on and clean out the horse stalls.
I laugh I remembered how having bought one basset hound I eventually thought that for the fullness of grace I needed a second basset hound and bought a second dog.
Only imaginary grace often does not bring joy imaginary grace has too many variables in the equation which the human mind cannot predict and such grace can turn into a fiasco.
And the grace of our Lord who is good, is always for our good.
Someone tries to build their own grace based on protection from everything that surrounds them as they say if your wallet allows you can hire security buy an armored car install alarms and hope that this fictional grace which even if it looks impressive and smells like gun oil will save you from all troubles... but the main trouble that can happen to a person is to lose the salvation of his soul, and money will not help with this.
It is not easy to understand the price of true grace, sometimes a lot must happen to us before we understand how valuable it is for us.
But, as soon as this happens in any life situation I can feel myself in the hands of God cozy and calm like a sleeping baby in the loving hands of parents.
